BOM is a locally owned and managed community development bank dedicated to creating financial opportunity for businesses, individuals, and community organizations of North Louisiana. BOM supports banking solutions that improve the social and economic conditions of underserved peoples.

BOM is proud to be certified by the U.S. Treasury Department as Community Development Financial Institution.

The CDFI Fund is the lead national organization in the United States promoting the work of community development financial institutions.

In order to be certified as a CDFI, the financial institution must have a primary mission of promoting community development by providing access to credit and financial services to underserved communities. A CDFI bank must devote at least 60% of its total lending, services, and other activities to benefit these communities.

BOM is a member of the Community Development Bankers Association, the national trade association of the community development bank sector.

CDBA helps to protect and preserve banks and thrifts with a mission of serving low-income communities.
